Enduraplas® Stories: Family, Faith, and Durability

Meet The Archies

On the green pastures of the Bar 7 Ranch in Gatesville, Texas, Cody and Erika Archie, a family of first-generation ranchers, built their lives and livelihoods from the ground up, gaining a massive following of over 1 million people on TikTok in the process. Being first-generation ranchers, the Archies never inherited anything. Everything from the equipment they use to the life experience they have had to be earned through hard work and trial and error.

“We didn’t inherit any land. We didn’t inherit any equipment. That’s all stuff that we had to piece together here and there,” Cody said. “But it has taught our children how hard it is to get there. They see what we had to do to get to where we’re at now.”

Cody and Erika Archie raise beef cattle and dorper sheep alongside their two children Kylee and Clancy.

“Our kids have been able to watch this go from bare land to our barn, our house, our shop, and all the lots that we’ve built up,” Erika said.

The Archie's set up

“Once we started our social media journey, one of the first companies that we partnered with was Enduraplas,” Cody said.

The Bar 7 Ranch has a Field Boss® Ecolite, the electric version of our Field Boss sprayer. The Ecolite eliminates the need for a gas engine and comes standard with a 12-volt motor and a diaphragm pump. It’s popular amongst farmers and ranchers like the Archies that need convenient boom spraying at the touch of a button, with no gas required.

“One thing that’s super important to us is having a piece of equipment that you’re not having to work on all the time,” Cody said. “When it’s time to go to work, I want it to be like us; I want it to be ready to go, and that’s one of the things we really like about our sprayer. When we’re ready to go, it’s ready to work.”

Hitched on the back of their UTV, the Archie’s use their Ecolite to spray overgrown weeds that their sheep don’t eat. They use every opportunity around them to create a teachable moment for their kids. Cody instructs Clancy on how to spray the field, telling him which way to go and how many passes to make, while the Ecolite takes care of the rest.

When it comes down to it, the Archies don’t take a partnership lightly and they don’t partner with everyone who just comes knocking.

“We only want to partner with companies that hold themself to the same standards that we do, and that’s one of the things that really jumped out at us about Endurapls, Cody said. “They are made right here in Texas and employ lots of Texans down at their plant. They have the same integrity and mindset that we do about only using quality products that will last a long time.”

At the end of the day, that’s what all this is for.

“I want our kids to be able to say when they get older and have the next generation, they can tell their kids, ‘Hey, I remember when we built that fence. I remember me and dad standing out there building this,” Cody said. “No matter what avenue in life they take, I want them to know that hard work pays off.”
